As advertised

I got back from Paris yesterday and used this app. Its a good, detailed STREET map of Paris, which was handy for finding my way on foot. Being able to search a street and also to bookmark favorite locations was very helpful. The GPS tracking took several minutes to find me each time I used it, but that eventually worked, too, and was great, provided youre willing to turn on cell coverage. If the designers wish to improve the app, here are my critiques: 1. This map does not display the names of Metro/RER stations, which meant I had to carry a Metro map, too. Those names really need to be there; most paper maps have that, and all tourists use the subway system. 2. Add the ability to search for an intersection, i.e., two streets instead of just one, in order to better pinpoint location. 3. The GPS feature does not show the direction you are headed (like google Maps does if youre in the States or wifi). So you wind up walking a block or two before you can tell whether youre heading the right way.
If you just want a zoomable, searchable, offline STREET map of Paris, this is good app. If they added rail station names, it would be a great app.
