The App works as described. To be useful some features need to be added . It should be possible to change the current focus. The focus is fixed to the current position. This means all metainformation - points of interest, restaurants etc. - is only visible and sorted according to you current position. If you are planning a trip you need this information shown for a location you like to go to. . Saving basic trip information (selected pois) . Possibility to draw on the map, just like a paper map. . The map should automatically show selected pois when zooming in, not only with a pin but also with their names

Not terribly impressed with this app. Subway stations, bus stops, and points of interest are not labelled by name. You cannot search by address which is understandable, but kind of a drag.

Just a couple problems that I can find so far. It doesnt go out as far as the airports or Disneyland. Both of those would be really helpful. I also wish that there was an option to look for streets with the same name in each of their locations. It could show the first one and then give the option to continue looking for more options. Other then that I think this map will be really helpful.

Detail on the map is not adquate. Need to be able to zoom in. Satellite signal sporadic. Can not click on the icons...so what good are they?

Must Have - Paris, Brussels - super!

I bought it to see metro station, but it does not show all the stations or the search is not very helpful. The program does not provide enough zooming, the objects on the map are too small even on my iPad. Well, after I have used it once in Paris what can I say... GPS works well. But the search is still not really convenient. I did not find ibis hotel near billancourt by word ibis. But then I did it by word hotel ibis and by word billancourt. But it was too late. The image does not flip. There is a bug with keyboard, it hides when I try to tap a key to tape a search word.

The app works exactly as advertised. The maps are clear and the search function works great.

What did I need? An offline, fast, searchable map of Paris that doesnt leave out any street names, however small, and lets you drop pins with your own tags on them. This is that. And for the perfect price of $0.99 It does not have route planning, or anything like that. But Im going to be walking the city, so that wouldnt help much. Also, it doesnt have a map of the Metro, though it does show every Metro station on the regular map, along with restaurants, cafes and other stuff. One feature that would be nice would be to add a note to each pin - so I could copy in information like opening hours, exact address or the person who recommended the spot.

Good map, but print is too small to read easily and you cant spread it out to make it larger.

Just returned from Paris, used this program to navigate all the touristy sites as well as reliably find our hotel. LOVE the pin feature (find something, then bookmark it & a pin keeps your spot). The GPS lets you walk along with your iphone in hand, tracking your exact progress on your way to your desitnation. It leaves it to you to navigate your own way (that is, no lit up pathways ala google directions), but shows your precise movement & location -- it also seems to have a very powerful search feature, start typing what you want & viola, it finds it. All in all, a wonderfully simple app that does exactly what it should do -- well worth it!

Just typed in my hotel and it doesnt recognize the hotel or the street. Same with the little bistro I wanted to go to. It does however know where the Eiffel Tower is ;-)

Bought this for my trip to Paris which is where I am right now and this thing tells me Im out of city limits everytime I try to locate no matter where I am. And Ive been all over Paris today not outside.

I got back from Paris yesterday and used this app. Its a good, detailed STREET map of Paris, which was handy for finding my way on foot. Being able to search a street and also to bookmark favorite locations was very helpful. The GPS tracking took several minutes to find me each time I used it, but that eventually worked, too, and was great, provided youre willing to turn on cell coverage. If the designers wish to improve the app, here are my critiques: 1. This map does not display the names of Metro/RER stations, which meant I had to carry a Metro map, too. Those names really need to be there; most paper maps have that, and all tourists use the subway system. 2. Add the ability to search for an intersection, i.e., two streets instead of just one, in order to better pinpoint location. 3. The GPS feature does not show the direction you are headed (like google Maps does if youre in the States or wifi). So you wind up walking a block or two before you can tell whether youre heading the right way. If you just want a zoomable, searchable, offline STREET map of Paris, this is good app. If they added rail station names, it would be a great app.

If you are planning to use your iPhone GPS with your Data Roaming turned off, forget it, GPS DOES NOT WORK WITH DATA ROAMING TURNED OFF. Its not only this app but ALL simular apps. Apparently, its a known problem and a fix is being worked. It is a fair paris map. It shows the metro stops pretty accurately but the various icons are not selectable.

OK, but not even worth the 99 cents. It will not allow enlargement to where its easily readable. It also uses 3G to determine where you are. Well, if youre trying to avoid foreign data link charges, this is not good. Might as well use the Apple default map program which does the same thing, but gives you visual walking routes and distance, and, enlarges to where you can see it decently.

The map doesnt work at all for me on my iPod Touch. When the application first loads, the map looks fine, but as you try to move around, parts of the screen freeze while other parts move around. Not very useful like this.

This app was amazing, the gps was always very fast to get signal. ( I activated it for first time with wifi on). In 10 days trip I didnt lost my way even once. Last time I was in Paris I had nokia e51 with external gps and it was useless. I used it many times a days, for tracking my location on the train,bus and tram. More then once other tourists with regular maps asked me for instructions and I managed to help them in seconds. I looked on many offline maps and at the end I choose this. (i used also offline maps) After i installed it i realized its not working on ios4 (I missed the warning not to install it on ios4). So I wrote to the support, I got a reply in the same day. Eventually 1 day before I went to Paris the new version was approved by apple. The search is not very good, abbreviations do not work and the map is not detailed enough A great idea especially since google maps doesnt work offline, and its been handy occasionally but bottom line is that most of the time I had to use google maps instead when in Paris because of the shortcomings of this app

I used the app on a recent one month to Paris, and it works well. Suggestion: The type on the street names is too small and fuzzy on Iphone 3GS. The workaround was to pinch zoom out very slightly and the type enlarges to a more readable level. Its a constant challenge, though. My guess is that is was tested and developed on an iphone 4 with the new retina display. The tiny type is not fuzzy on a 4, but is still could be a bit larger to make the map easier to use when walking and navigating.

This helped us navigate through Paris with ease. Had all of the key tourist spots and everything else. Loved that it was available offline. This combined with MetrO and we were like native Parisians! Plus without the big fold out map, people thought we were just looking at our phone. Also, after two weeks of travel, I was able to leave pushpins in the places we went to show the family and update the photobook. Great app for the price.
